Grapefruit.

I have been struggling with my weight for a while now and I am not one that would exercise to death unless I have someone to remind me that I really need to do it!!! (eg. My neighbor when we went walking.)

So recently I bought a work out video, I was doing the it and i would stop and then start again so that i could feel the pain. Then my friend back home told me about a diet called the Grapefruit diet.

Grapefruit diet is based upon eating lots of 'fat-burning' grapefruit to kick-start your metabolism. This plan lasts for 12 days, if practice correctly you can lose up to 10 lbs. After 12 days of dieting, if you wish to continue you must take at least 2 days off before doing so.

There are quite a few different Grapefruit Diet plan versions available but the principal behind each and every of the plan is the same i.e. eat half a grapefruit before every meal, to enjoy the benefits of the fat-burning enzymes. The calorie intake is limited to not more than 800 per day.

Fat-free, low-calories and low in sodium, the Grapefruit diet plan causes rapid weight loss, primarily due to loss of body fluids. The best part about this plan; that is No Starvation. You will be enjoying normal meals at normal times.

So I decided to get a ton of Grapefruit juice but i noticed that because of my eating habits I cant do the diet cause I dont eat the full 3 meals much less 3 meals plus snacks.
I dont remember when but I was on a grapefruit soda kick when i was in high school and I lost weight!!! So I decided to drink the juice but i was thinking what is soo good about Grapefruit and I found this:

The grapefruit is a large orange-like fruit that belongs to the citrus family. It is a somewhat "new" addition to the family, deriving from a natural cross-breeding between orange and pomelo, thus its size.

Consumption Tips

Choose grapefruits like how you would oranges¾firm and springy to the touch. If you can, choose the pink and red variety which are slightly sweeter.

Keep grapefruits at room temperature before juicing to get the most out of it. To prepare, quarter the fruit and peel off the skin.

If you find the grapefruit juice too bitter or sour, mix with a little honey or with juices of other sweeter fruits.

Caution

Grapefruit contains high levels of flavonoid naringin that will reject synthetic man-made drugs. This is beneficial for our human cells because it helps to recognize alien compounds which should not be in our body, therefore, are treated as toxins.

The presence of grapefruits may halt the metabolism of these drugs, leaving the drugs in your body thus creating the risk of toxic poisoning. Doctors may tell you that grapefruit is the cause of the toxicity, but in fact, it is really the drugs that is causing the toxicity.

If you are not under medication, grapefruit juice can do a world of good. However, despite all its goodness, always remember to take only in moderation. Excessive consumption of any citrus juices can leach calcium from the body system, causing decay of the bones and teeth.

Sooooo with this information I am going to try and see what happens, I probably wont do the work out everyday. But I will try, I will pass the pain time and then do the exercise every OTHER day!!! :)

There has been so much running through my mind lately. I am like .. why am i changing so much. Then in my Strategic Management class someone said that every 7 years ppl change. That sucks balls. So today I put one of the things I changed with to a test. Luckily I havent changed in that sense. I was on the bus and a girl asked if she could sit next to me and I agreed. I then out of the blue asked "how are you doing?" and then for the rest of the ride we were talking. About what? I dunno... wine, housing, classes (bearing in mind it is a 10 min ride) anything we were able to talk about. I am soo happy I havent changed in that sense. She was a sweet heart and then I found out her name (Jackie, it is a common name so unless i describe her no one would know who i talking about)
Then when I came off the bus I saw my friend Ruyi and I just could not forget what her "Ex-boyfriend" said about her. They were the cutest couple a chinese girl and a spanish looking guy. I saw her ex Mark before class and I had mentioned her name and it seemed like he just needed someone to talk to about her. He said that she was cold hearted and the type of person who would crush you and step on your heart just like that. Then he told me that he was helping her move some of her friends stuff and afterwards they went to church and was on the bus going back home. So he rang the bell for the next bus stop and she told him that she wasnt going with him. He responded "What? where are you going?" She told him by her friend to sleep then he was like ok i will come. Then she literally shouted at him saying that he cant come with her. you might be wondering ... Why is this girl telling you all this crap? Well I found that this girl was kinda weird cause everytime she saw me she would latch on to me and just hold on to my arm or my hand ( it felt awkward to me because it kinda made me feel like a guy while she was the girl in a relationship) So Mark is not a small guy he is pretty big (muscular) and Ruyi is like 5'3 and boyshaped. So on a bus full of ppl if a girl shouts at a guy tell him He cant come with her. that could get a lil ugly if he didnt choose the right actions. Luckily he did and got of the bus at the next stop. This girl would seem like the best friend to everyone but that is something you dont do to someone in public. I believe what he said because she always gave me this weird vibe but I will never use that against her. My time here is short and I not gonna see some of these ppl ever again soooo. Yea!!!

Then to make my life a more wonderous array of confusion I was wondering what my friends think about me (mostly my fb friends (but no one answered except for a few ppl). I am truely curious what people see when they see me. Then today I saw this chick on her phone while going back to her dorm and I was thinking that I dont have much ppl that I would talk to on the phone like that. :( My life sucks.

Oh well...

Ok sorry for being absent for soo long. I wanted to share so much with you but I didnt want to before I actually get this weekend's recap over with.
So we reached downcity and walked over to 7/11 got some money and made our way over to the City Cafe. ... is the City Cafe closed...?? ... noo ppl are inside... what... ok lets go in!!! 2 ladies in there (Nelly and Annette) So we sat at the bar and I ordered a Shot.. yay!!! the other two ordered different shots from me. So we had our shots ($2 each) Then I decided it is probably the cheapest drink they got so i will go for another shot but a different one so I had the Kamakaze!! Then we decided to get Margaritas. Me and Bn had pomegranate and Bo had strawberry. We then had another round of that. Yum. ($5 each) Then Bo and I decided to move on to martinis while Bn said noo i will stick to Margaritas. So Bn had a Melon Margarita while me and Bo had this thing like a Caramel espresso martini OMG that was really good ($10 each) so at the end of that I Bn had another Pomegranate Margarita and Bo and I had another martini. This drinking happened within a span of ... 2 hrs. 6 drinks for me and Bn and 5 for Bo.

Soo we were like ok we are going to go now and get some food. So we went inside of 7/11 and went to get some sandwiches and Bn said oohhh I will pay dont worry I will put it on the card. Then we went to ... Pizza Queen and got more food.. by the time we left Pizza Queen Bn could not walk by herself. So we went to S&S (Safety and Security) and asked them about the shuttle. they said to go ahead and sit down. One of the S&S officers came out he was asking us (Bo and me) if Bn was ok. We said yea we just came back from having a few drinks. He tried talking to her but she wasnt answering his questions she was looking at him and you can tell she wanted to sleep. So he was telling her that she was going to have to go to the Hospital. She started to cry. yes cry. she started saying that she didnt want to go to the hospital. She has messed up her life. Her boyfriend dont love her and all kinda junk. so next thing we noticed this dude comes inside and he saying that it is time for us to go and we are telling him that she doesnt want to go. He then said that because they had called him he cant go back to the hospital without us. Frick!!! He then told us that we either have to convince her to go with him or he will have to call the state police for them to force her to go, which wouldnt be pretty.

So she decided to go into the ambulance and we went in with her. She then asked to talk to her bf and she couldnt talk properly cause she was crying again.

To make long story short When we reached we waited there for a short while before they put us in a room they tested her BAC (blood alcohol content) and it was .27. After the nurse tested hers I was like ... I kinda wanna know mine so the nurse said that they not allowed to do that but she will allow us to. Mine was .13 and Bo was .08 (the legal limit is .08) They then took us to the ground floor and put us in this room and held us there for ..7 hrs and telling us not to walk around for privacy reasons. Gosh that was annoying so our roomie A came for us because they wouldnt let us out unless they were releasing Bn to a responsible adult. In all we spent 10 hrs in that damn Hospital.
Later in the day Bn's parents came and she slept over by them in the hotel. The next day she went to AA meeting.

whew,

WHat a wweeeekkkeeennnnddd!!!!

Went out for drinks, got food, waited for the shuttle, got in an ambulance, spent 10 hrs at the hospital. DAAMMMNNN

So let me give you the piece by piece. And I give the disclaimer here. You cannot use this as evidence against anyone!!! Especially the bar.

So Friday morning I wake up and go on to my computer and notice ... no internet. The internet is down alll through the village. So I decided I am going to study. yes study. So I am there reading my book and keeping my eye on the yahoo widget on my pc to see when the internet was going to turn back on. So I saw the internet turn on and I texted Bn that the internet is back (this is the afternoon) yes i studied from morning to afternoon. lol Suprisingly yesterday I was in such a depressed mood that I was really in the mood to hurt myself. So I looked at my phone and noticed my mom had sent me a text in the morning tellling me I made the Dean's List last tri. Yes I do that shit :) So I texted my mom back saying that I am not sure if I am going to make deans list again this tri cause it has just gotten HARD. But I am trying. I am trying. I was sooo depressed. So mom called my dad and told him to call me and I never felt soo happy that I was talking to my dad. I always go to my mom for comfort but my dad just hit the spot. I even started to cry (I dont think he knew that) Then when I got off the phone with my dad I cried some more. What a pussi i am. I then decided to listen to some LP (Linkin Park for those who are Rock Impaired) Cranked that up so I couldnt hear anything.

Then I got a text from Bn asking where I am going tonite. So I told her I was going to go to City Cafe in the city. She asked if she could come and I said sure. Then I started singing one of LPs songs where it was talking about being alone. She probably heard me and said Oh you probably want to be by yourself, so I wont come. I responded saying noooo come, I not gonna see anyone I know there so she should come.

So I told her I was going to exercise (Slim in 6) and then get ready. So Betsy asked me if I wanted biscuits and I said sure food before drinks. So she gave me her chicken and her biscuits. {GOD I AM SLEEPY} So I went to exercise and then went around to get the food, came back to my room and ate. Then went to bath and this chick Bn starts rushing me when I start putting on my makeup. So I am like ok she is not going to mess with my head right now. So we went downstairs in some of our lightest jackets, Bo said ohhh look a full moon (the first for the year I should say) and we were waiting for the bus to come and it didnt come so we went upstairs to put on better jackets and gloves. We came back down and could the bus to Geabe and this dude came on the bus at the Harbourside main campus and he didnt have his ID so the bus driver made him had to full out a form and show his Id to prove who he wrote down is who he is. SO next thing he asks to sit right next to me almost sitting ON me. so he did all that for the driver and as he passed you can smell weed on him and his friends said he was drunk. So he went by his friends near the back of the bus and I looked back and saw the most bewildered look on Bo's face andshe was like wtf. She was soo mad that there was soo many seats in the bus and he chose to sit next to her. lol sooo funny.

{OK I am lacking so much sleep I will have to do part 2 tomorrow morning when i wake up. So i will holla at you in the morning.}

My life (25/1/2010)

I feel so drained and I cant concentrate on anything. :(
I know, I havent been eating properly but how can i eat properly if I have nothing to cook. And then there are alot of papers to do and all kinda shit!!!! FML

I am tired of everything and everyone here. FML

I need to get out of America. NEED TO!!! I feel like an outsider. Even among the Caribbean People. Everyone has someone who shared their experiences. I was at my group meeting and two of the girls were talking about high school and I was thinking in my mind. Their high school is different from mine. So no matter what I will never know what they are talking about. My roommates do it too. They are all american and they go through basically the same experiences and I am like .........o_o........ FML. I just need to get out.

So today I ate a crepe and that was around 11:40 and i didnt eat again until just now 9:20 fml.

Oh did I mention I hate school!! I HATE SCHOOl!!!! I hate school, projects and group projects. (I can live with projects but Group Projects. FML!!!

I dont even know if I want to fume about Any thing else.

Oh K. I spoke to my neighbors downstairs, and they said that they knew it wasnt me,I am too nice to do anything like that. Now I swear if Bn was working for me and she was being a bitch like how she is in her living situation I would try and shoot her and spend my time in Jail. They also mentioned that the sound normally is at the end of the hall and they know I have the first room. So I am in the CLEAR!!! dAMN If only you knew how much I want a beer right now!!! A 6 pak and my assignments and I would be set for the night!!!

Avatar Featurette and other cool stuff!!

After watching Avatar from the aisle of our local cinema in Antigua. I have been in awe by this movie. Now actually seeing the movie being produced is even better.

I want sushi hmm :( I know that is a stray from topic but i just felt the need to want sushi (the need to want LOL)I had sushi last night as well my roomie A's boyfriend did a cool demonstration on how to make sushi. and gave us a few and it was soooo goood!!!!!
BUT BACK TO TOPIC. This is cool!!! And Peter Rallis (moviebuzz) was saying that Avatar was basically the Pocahontas Movie with great Graphics. oooo look what I found:


I saw The Book of Eli last night (23rd) and I was not impressed but it was good. Kinda regretted paying for it. With this all the action was very spaced out but when the action came it was pretty good. There was little explosions (my weakness) and no creatures or bad guys that you just had to love. The bad guy in this was the bad guy in Fifth Element (oh how I love that movie). But I just didnt love him in this movie. But it is worth watching for sure. I just wanted more gore and more action for my buck. The trailer shows all of the action (well all that i remember).


It was a toss up between The Book of Eli and Legion. And my homeslice, Chris (yea I callin you out lol) told me someone said Legion wasnt all that. Damn I wish i know that someone I would put the wrath of Gabriel on his ass. I watched this awesome movie on bootleg (terrible quality) and It still rocked my world. The damn man moved the camera alot and sneezed a couple times. But it was a great, great movie. Had the right amount of fire power. Explosions. hell Even Gabriel rocked my world. I was then thinking if Gabriel was a warrior angel why would God send him to make sure that Jesus was born and all that stuff. In this movie Gabriel had razor sharp wings. Can you imagine Mary sitting down in shock after getting the news that she was preggy with Jesus and then Gabriel turns and cuts her head off by accident. OMG!! (yea I know I going to hell for that thought) YEAAAA!!!! But this movie rocked my world.

Then just a while ago I just finished watching The Spy Next Door. It was a nice cute P.G. Movie. REALLY not something I would pay for. But really entertaining. Hell Jackie Chan is a great actor and I think because of his issues with English and his accent and having to learn his lines, his movies have the greatest outtakes. Here is the trailer.

Ok this is my final blog for the night. well morning. Gosh. This blog had hit a certain part of me that I never noticed I had.



I know I always lamenting on the fact that I never really socialized with guys that much (thus my fear of chilling with them) and I lament on the fact that I went to an all girl's school. I lament on how my father never knew why it was hard for me to talk to him. I lamented alot on the fact that my friends got to hang out with each other on a regular basis and walk around town and so forth but I was in my mom store working. But there was so many good things that happened in my life so many laughter. So many fun times with family and friends. Lots of fun times with my girl friends. Tons of fun with customers who I never saw again some of the time. Hell I even remember some good times when my dad would just take me places with him. :) My girl in the video is soo true, you cant focus on the thunder and lightening cause you will miss out the greatness of the rain. Gosh My rains were some really great rains. A few rains that will always stick with me is my time in Britain, the time my ma and I went to get Breakfast in a department store, and the time that my ma and dad were watching cartoons with me one early morning.

Pat Robertson's pact quake theory is rubbish!!!

I first heard one of the ppl that I am subscribed to on youtube talk about it and now the local newspaper in Antigua (my home land), The Daily Observer, is talking about it. You see why I dont follow any religious leader. They all full of poop.

As Haiti continues to reel from the effects of the strongest earthquake to hit that country in two centuries, local pastor Jean Gerald LaFleur is denouncing controversial remarks by renowned American evangelist Reverend Pat Robertson.

Speaking on the Christian Broadcasting Network programme “The 700 Club” a day after the catastrophic quake, Robertson announced that he is going to touch on an issue he claimed, “people might not want to talk about.”

According to the programme’s co-host, Haiti’s woes, including the January 12 quake, are a direct result of a pact it signed with the devil “while under the heel of the French.”

Digging into the bowels of history, Robertson insisted that the Haitian slaves, with the help of the devil, rid themselves of colonial rule and since then the Caribbean island has been cursed.

The curse, said Robertson, is evident when one compares Haiti’s socio-economic status to its neighbour the Dominican Republic, which Robertson described as “prosperous and healthy” — a complete antithesis to ravaged Haiti.

Although the evangelist has been chastised for his historical explanation of Haiti’s current state, Robertson nevertheless maintained that it is a “true story” and Haitian-born Pastor LaFleur is not denying all of Robertson’s remarks.

LaFleur acknowledged that a satanic pact was indeed signed. He explained that in 1791 a Jamaican voodoo priest called Boukman presided over a massive voodoo ceremony that might have had serious repercussions for Haiti’s future.

The ceremony involved the killing of a pig, which symbolised the devil, and Boukman prophesied that certain slaves would lead a rebellion that would eventually rid Haiti of France’s stronghold.

In 1804 Haiti got its independence and even though the country became a symbol of hope for the millions downtrodden in an era of slavery, LaFleur pointed out that many people like Robertson, still believe Haiti is cursed.

That’s not the case, according to LaFleur, who noted that despite former President Jean-Bertrand Aristide’s efforts to preserve the 1791 pact, it was broken by a number of churches in 1995, which held major communion-based ceremonies to symbolise the new covenant with God.

LaFleur, who also heads the Friends of Haiti Association, described Robertson’s remarks as inappropriate and unwise, particularly at a time when Haiti is in crisis. He said the evangelist’s statement could do “more damage than anything else.”

The archbishop of the West Indies, Dr John Holder, also criticised Robertson’s pact-quake theory, which he deems to be an overly simplistic and ridiculous interpretation of last Tuesday’s tragedy.

Dr Holder noted that evil exists elsewhere in the world and it is a mere geographical coincidence that Haiti is being rocked so often by natural disasters.

Nevertheless, Robertson stands by his theory and believes we need to pray that Haitians will turn to God in their time of calamity.

My day :) 15/1/10

Hey guys and gals,

Today was one of the days to remember. Hanging with good ppl reminds you that it makes no sense to spend time with ppl that are not good to be around. I woke up around 10 then started to get ready for my group project at 12. When we were at the library one of the members told us that she broke up with her bf the night before. So her eyes were puffy like she had an eye infection and she said she cried so much that her eyes swell shut. :( So we started doing the work and everything. Then we just got a creative spurt and was just spewing out from all of us to the point where we basically have the floor plan of how the building will be after renovations.

After the group meeting I came back to an empty apt and was like... ok... so i went to watch all my yt subscriptions. Then one of the ppl i am subscribed to has the ...KIM POSSIBLE RING TONE!!!OMG ... OMG ... OMG... WICKED COOL!!! sooooo I decided to look it up... and hallelujah I found free ringtones!!! yay!!! So I downloaded a bunch of them yay!!Then I heard on the radio Bat Country (and posted it) and then I looked up Tried and tried again (and posted it).

Then I was like ... I am tired of being in the room so I went to the community center and they were doing Henna tattoos and I was like yay!!!! So i got a wicked cool tat of a cross and then some cool ppl came in afterwards and it was one of the most refreshing array of ppl. Everyone just chilling and having fun and at ease and because everyone is stepping on everyones toes (being wicked sarcastic) you werent afraid of what to say. Then I went back to my room and found out some of the most interesting things about this Henna Tattoo situations and me and I will do a blog on that with the pics.

After coming from the community center I decided to be around my roommies some and after being with my group members and the ppl in the community center it was like being in a stifling choke hold where you just wanna shout grow the fuck up. But I couldnt.

Me and Ye (one of my group members and really great friends) decided hey lets go to the movies (b4 she dropped me off after the meeting). So we were like hey lets go with Kb (the one that broke up last night) and Sc (her bf went back home after 3 weeks of being with her and one of my really great friends).Kb said she was planning on just staying in for the rest of the night. Sc came with us and we went to watch Leap Year**. Great Movie by the way. Then Ye dropped me home and then i was chilling with my roommies again and I still felt very stifled again. I couldnt laugh at their jokes because it wasnt funny just very crude and I dunno it felt weird. So i decided to go to bed and Bn sent me a text asking me if i was ok, if i was feeling left out. I just told her i was tired and wanted to sleep.

So now I am here telling you my day. Because this is the most productive I have been in a long time. So yeaaa!!!! ttfn.
