Tom finally won!!
Dear Readers,
I just came across some Tom and Jerry clips on youtube. And i am a big T&J fan!! I would make sure to catch it on Cartoon Network everyday at 1 when i was in the states! However, I always found it mostly one sided. Jerry won more times than poor poor Thomas. So I found one where Tom won without doing anything at all (but show some generosity)!!! As they say give and you shall receive. It was the best. Hope you enjoy it!

UNEDITED Self Reflection
Dear Readers,
After doing this psychometric test to evaluate my current management / leadership approach, I came across the results saying that I am 55% classical and 45% entrepreneurial leader. When I saw these results I thought back to some of the past work experiences I had and remembered when I was working with my dad at his hardware store he had told me “that is the difference between you and (my sister) you will stay one place and tell the other staff to do something.” At that time I never saw it as telling them to do something, I saw it as asking them to do something that I was either too lazy or too busy to do. I never told them “Go and do that!”, I asked them “Can you do that for me please?” But it did get the job done and it was a form of delegation.
So now I am looking at the Characteristics this tests says I have and most of them I agree with. I am both a manager and a leader this I will discuss later down (hoping I don’t write tooo much). I have always been an Extrovert person which is really good for meeting new people, however I have recently shown Introvert tendencies since I have started Johnson and Wales University. I have no idea if it was the change of atmosphere or the fact that I knew no one and how to relate to them. So the psychometric test was pretty accurate about that. I am mostly extrovert by heart but I have introvert tendencies that I am trying to break. Plus I also have a feeling that the people I met either weren’t the people I wanted to show my true colours to or I was trying to fit in with a crowd that wouldn’t accept me for my true crazy self. Like who would walk around college* in a green wig and allow other people to try it on just for fun? When meeting new people or just passing people on the streets I would give a warm and testing smile. If the person smiles back (for all I care it could be a grimace) I would feel like I have either made someone happy or made someone know that I notice them as a human being. I think I have become like this because I was raised inside of my mom’s store and I encountered many people over the years. So I just grew to be very friendly and loving attention from people.
I am also quite Calm when it comes to situations. My mom always tells people the story of when this lady was in her store* and she had a nail glue in her hand and was inching her way towards the entrance. So I went up to the lady and as my mom recollects “said something to the lady and then next thing Michele comes back with the nail glue in her hand.” I had addressed the situation calmly when other staff members would have called her out for the world to see and embarrass the lady. So I think that I am quite Calm however I can get Excitable about some situations. My Excitability shows when I lose something, my heart starts to race and my mind just gets clouded over. Only recently I take time to breathe and think of the last place I used or saw the item. People commend me of my ability to be calm in situations that they would freak out. But I see freaking out as a sign of slight ignorance. But when I do freak out it is more of a personal thing and no one notices that I am really panicking. So once again I find this test accurate where I am mostly calm in situations but I can go through some situations where I get highly excitable.
As I said before I am one to delegate work (unknowingly) and love to work in a team. If the team is like a well running machine, I will work efficiently. Therefore, that shows that I am collective. When there is a system working with the in house staff and outside staff and everyone is working in harmony I feel really comfortable. A situation where that happened was when my dad had went off to look after some material for his hardware and the floor staff would assist the customers who came in and help them find what they need. Then the customers would come to me or the other cashier and purchase their goods and receive a receipt to give to the outside staff. The outside staff out then load the customers vehicle with the material and one of the floor staff would sign off the material going out of the yard. When the group is working well together, I think that the company is working efficiently. This makes me feel very comfortable and everything is done in a timely manner. Another example of my Collective nature is a few weeks ago I went to Scotland for 5 days and I felt so comfortable with the group of 22 people. When I reached back into my room after the trip I had to fight not to cry because I was all alone. I am like this because I am always around people since I am always at my mom’s store. I try my best to either behave the same way around the group or I would behave different to the different groups that I am with.
I am a true Risk taker. Just the fact that I am here in England is enough proof to show that I am a risk taker. Lets go step by step on how risk taking I am. 1. I left the safety of being near friends and family to go to a State in America where I knew no one, instead of going to a university where I have friends or to a university that is near my extended family. 2. I decided to do a semester in Leeds Metropolitan University in England, this was the ultimate risk where I was just going with the flow and hoping everything goes well. 3. I put my life in the hands of people I just recently met and go travelling all around England. I have a friend back in the states who was telling me that she would have backed out of the student exchange with the amount of time they were taking to get everything sorted. But it just proves that once you have an idea of your goal you will go for it. Some people call it crazy, some people call it risky, others call it dangerous, but I just find it as fun and exhilarating. This is the only way you can network and broaden your horizons to what is going on with other people in other countries. I have had thoughts of ‘What would have happened if I had just went to a university in the Caribbean where I have friends? What would have happened if I just stayed in Rhode Island and enjoyed the rest of my junior year (3rd year) with people I have grown comfortable with? What would have happened if I just buried my head in my work and never went to see other parts of England?’ Then the answer pops into my mind. I would never have become the strong and well-cultured person that I am right now!
Stability and Adaptability is something that describes me. I can manage being stable working in the status quo and making sure everything runs perfectly. With Stability I know that I can work to make whatever I am working on BETTER! Making sure to get it right. My ability to be very Adaptable is seen when I take a risk, I can easily find a calm space and feel comfortable. I adapt to the people and what they do and how they react to others. An example of this is here in England, not only did I adapt to the Northern England weather but I also adapted to the people and the teaching style of each professor.
I prefer Certainty over Ambiguity any day. I get flustered when I don’t know what I am doing. Then I start to feel like a nag keep asking other people of what I am suppose to be doing. Which then leads to the feeling of retardedness on my end because I am going all around asking people to explain something that if they had just explained it in the beginning the whole process and time wastage would have been avoided. An example of a situation that certainty was used is this project. The professor had explained in full detail what he wanted and how he wants it to look and what is to be in it. Even though I think with this, he either gave us too much to write on or too little a word count. Honestly, if we weren’t given a criteria I would have no idea what to say or what not to put. Even though I have a feeling I wrote a lot. I am soo going to have to edit this for my actual paper. LOL. In primary school and secondary school they tell you what they want and how it is to be presented. By the time you reach state college you know what you are doing. I then went to JWU and they tell you what they want the assignment to look like.
Since I am a more hands on person, I rather have Personal Responsibility over a situation than Professional Responsibility. With the Personal Responsibility, you can use your personality to feel out how the customer or person that you are meeting reacts to you. If they are more of the quiet-get-things-done-fast type of person then you keep the chitchat to a minimum and get the job done. If the person feels like they are having a bad day, you can try and see if they want to talk about it (not always a good idea). If the person is open and you can just talk very freely that is good. There was a situation where there was a girl who came into my mom’s store and she was looking for jewellery for her brother and she was just making some of the most random comments when I was asking her what she was looking for. Then she mentioned that all the guys in her family have nice coolie* hair. I responded saying that she should cut her brother’s hair and bring it back to me as a souvenir. We then got into a conversation of how we hated it when guys have better hair than girls and that women started to cut their hair and men started to grow out their hair. From the outside it would look like we are good friends just talking when in truth I was just putting my personality into the interaction. But of course not all situations are like that and I know how to handle such instances as well. An example of this happening was when a man and a lady came into my dad’s hardware and the man started to ask for stuff and he was giving the vibes that he was a very troublesome* individual. However, the lady had the vibe that she just wanted to get her stuff and go. So I had ignored the guys playful manner and made sure to get the job done in a professional manner.
I prefer formal communication to get a point across because you get a chance to put everything that is on your mind down. There was a situation that I had lost something that was valuable to my sister and she had stopped talking to me after I told her that I lost it. I had no idea in how to express how sorry I was in verbal speech. I knew I would leave out a lot of things and would not get to the point of the apology. I then wrote an email to her expressing how sorry I was. I even started to cry silently when I wrote the email. I have never felt so guilty and retarded in my life. I find it easier to be formal about important things. But when needed I could handle informal communication, but I realized that I am very informal when doing that. I would even use vernacular (the big word of the day) like “Okie Dokie”. Talk about childish!!
I believe in both Incentives and Recognition to motivate people. I would work somewhere for the money and all the freebies and even the discounts you can get on products and services. Then there is Recognition and praise. I have both sides of this where my dad is the type to give you incentives and my mom is the type to give recognition. I remember a time (yes I am rattling on about it, to those who heard it before) but my daddy said he was going to get me a COOL Barbie Jeep (I think, it was a jeep. Barbie vehicle) and that was his way to get me to do what he wanted at the moment. But did I get it?? Noooooo!!! Ok I done! While mom has here favourite phrase that will go on for generations (I hope). When we ask her for something, her response would always be “You don’t want me too?” I swear if I find a child (between the ages of 3-7) who can answer that I will give them money! Ok maybe that isn’t really an example of praise. But she would always say thank you or something to acknowledge the work I did. So I have inherited both traits of giving Incentives and Recognition to get the job done. But the trick is who and when do you use them with.
The reason I chose the Hospitality Industry is because I am more Person Centred. I love dealing with people and cannot see myself behind a desk doing paper work or crunching numbers. I had the opportunity to be a Liaison Officer for a Debate Competition that was being help in our Country. Out of the positions of being a Researcher, a Public Relations Officer, a Debater, or a Liaison Officer, I chose to be Liaison Officer because of the interaction I would have with the people. But when I need to get a task done I can be very Task Centred just to get the job done.
I am more Directive than Participative because I feel that I would be able to bring out the best in what I am doing and if everyone is working at their best then everything will be great. If I am unable to be Directive I stay in the background and just do the work that is required of me. I might be this way because my dad told me “…you could be one of two things in life, the ass kicker or the person getting their ass kicked.” So that gave me a sense of being ahead of the group and leading. Both of my parents are owners of their own companies so being raised in that environment I just find it the most efficient way to get a job done.
Planning is my forte (if that is the right word), I have to plan things out even if they don’t come through. Like for a trip I would be preparing weeks even MONTHS in advance and I would have to force myself to stop planning what will happen when I go. I would plan the time it would take to get to the location and then put in “bullshit time”*. So sometimes if I am really anxious I would be at the airport or train station like an hour or 2 hours early. I have noticed that my sister is the same way. Yes you are even if you think you aren’t. But we were raised that way so we shall embrace our Anal tendencies.
After going through each of these characteristics I find that I am very near if not at the point of being an Entrepreneurial Leader Manager. I have inherited the qualities from my parents and have noticed that I have acquired the ones that would make me a successful Entrepreneurial Leader Manager. The characteristics like being Calm, Collective, Certain, Formal, Directive and apt for Planning over Flexibility show that I am slightly more a Classical Manager which is suitable for when a company is going through hard times or just need to get the job done. The characteristics like Extrovert, Risk, Personal Responsibility and Person Centred show that I am an Entrepreneurial Leader and would be able to manage my staff in an efficient and effective way. Then there are the characteristics that I am both of them, which is Stability and Adaptability, and Incentives and Recognition. I believe that with all of these you would be able to manage whatever situation is forced upon you as management as well as best for meeting the needs of the staff members.
So this gives me even more a boost to go after my goal of owning my own hotel or chain of hotels which ever is the result of my choices. I have known that I have the experience to operate a company successfully. After doing this test I have realized I also have the characteristics needed to operate a company successfully. Upon the completion of the Understanding Service Management module, I have gotten a better sense of well being, the confidence and knowledge I would require to operate a company. This was the most informative module I have had in a while, because it allows you to relate the information to your personality and future goals.

If you wonderin why i blogging when i have work it is because i came across the song and i just needed to add the song to my blog because It is something i want everyone to keep in mine when they do decide to bring kids into this world. Enjoy

Dear Readers,

My Self Reflection
Dear Readers,
I am nearing the end of my time in England and I am bombarded with all kind of essays and papers and so on!! One of the essays that I have to complete is a self reflection that goes into depth of what in my life would make me a classical manager or a entrepreneurial leader. Upon doing a psychometric test i found out a i am both, but with more Classical Manager tendencies. So I was told to do it in a form that is normal to me and expressing my feelings her is normal for me. So When i do it I will do it in Blog form and I will post the ruff draft up (it might be a lil long ... ok maybe Hella long) and then for my essay i will downsize it! So probably on Monday that will be up.
I found this and i just watched it over and over again LAUGHING MY HEAD OFF !!! So i hope you like it!!

Open your eyes!!
Dear Readers,
I went to watch a play today called Kellerman. It was about a delusional man who believes that he had a different life and believed that he could time travel. But the part of the play that caught my attention is when he was being interviewed by the psychiatrist and Kellerman asked the psychiatrist: "How do you know anything in the past actually happened? The only thing you have to go on is what your brain tells you that it happened." This confirms once again that the brain is mad powerful. It can tell you that something happened when it didnt happen at all. If it wasnt for the fact that there were other people there to prove that you did go through childhood and the photographs, who would be able to say that someone goes through childhood.
I also found this poem that not only was recited really kool, the words made mad sense. Hope you enjoy.

P.S. It took everything in me not to put a video of Animal from the Muppets on here.

Closer soundtrack
Dear Readers,
I havent made an entry in a while because I was in Bath, Stonehenge and Cotswold. That was my final trip before i go down to London and then home. I have a soft spot for the movie Closer. It has Clive Owen (sexy man), Natalie Portman, Julia Roberts, and Jude Law (gosh do i hate this man). And there is a song in it that just always fills my heart with joy!!
If you never saw it this is the trailer and the movie is a true definition of love, it is complicated only if you make it. And to make it even better it has my song in it!!

I was looking up Ever After (the movie with Drew Barrymore) and I came across Snow White Happily Ever After and found it soooo adorable. It is the continuation of what happens to Snow White after she met the prince. No there was no Domestic or Physical Abuse. Nor did she have kids and died nor did the prince die. If you want it
Dear Readers,
OMG, I got hooked to some really cool guys on youtube and one of them just reminded me of someone I love who is going through a lil state of confusion. (YOU KNOW WHO U R)!!! The name of the Channel is the FIVEblackgUys. They are 5 black gay guys who are from all over America and would post videos discussing the topic of the week. omg they are the best. One is a performer, WalkingWater is his youtube name, and he has such a good soul that you cant help but love him. The next one is a stylist, IsoloveLondon, he reminds me of one of the characters from Girlfriends (Lin) just soo cool and artistic. There is Nvncyble, he is a rouge spirit where he is a gay guy who his mother doesnt approve of it much and he would not inform people that he is gay easily. The Teacher, ElTeddy27, just a crazy lil QT!!! Then is the sexy lips, ALONZOLERONE, always in the bathroom or lickin his lips. WOW!!
But the guy that reminded me of the person I love sooo much is IsoloveLondon (aka London). Hopefully this VIDEO makes this person know what I want to see them doing when they get their dreams out there!!!! ENJOY

Scotland trip
Dear Readers,
I am sorry for taking soo long to make a post but:
1. I went to Scotland for 5 days; and
2. I fell into a depression after leaving Scotland.
Scotland was great. The people that went to Scotland on the Don't Be A Tourist Trip were great. The tour guide was great. The whole experience was to die for. Before I went I was wondering why am I going to Scotland by myself? But then when I got on the bus I met some of the girls I met (briefly) on the Wales trip. So we 3 sat in the back of the bus (able to hold 33 people) and sitting in an order that we owned the back. Then when we started on our journey Nevil ( the guy who operates Don't Be A Tourist) did the little thing of allowing us to meet some of the people on the bus. After that we had a little riddle game and our group won the prize along with another group. During the rest of the trip there the 2 girls and I were just cracking jokes for the whole time. That is when I started the running Joke about my love for sheep. How I would love to kidnap it and take it home with me.
When we reached Edinburgh, I was in awe by the hostel we were staying in. It was great. The bathrooms sucked but that is something I am planning on looking into when setting up my property. Then we met our Tour Guide, a guy name Big Kev (who wasnt big at all) dressed in his Kilt.
He took us around the city through cemeteries, telling us ghost stories (yuck) and up to the castle. That is when EVERYONE found out my hatred of ghost. C, K (the 2 girls I was sitting with) and I went walking around the city until it was close to dinner. We all went to the meeting place and enjoyed our meals where the brave souls ate the local dish (Haggis), while I had a small portion and salmon and other persons had different foods.
Haggis:
Then a few of us followed the tour guide to a pub known as Scotland's Most Haunted Pub - Nicol Edwards. But I didnt see any ghosts because everytime I left the group I took someone with me.
The second Day, we went on our trip to the Whisky distillary and got a tour and tasting. All I can say is I will not become a full fledged Whiskey drinker. We went to see the Loch Ness Monster with many stops in between (like castles and lil towns and burial grounds), where we ended at this little town where the hotel, pub and restaurant were all in one building. The supermarket, takeaway and Pizza Joint (which was closed) was all in one building and so forth. It was a small place. So we went to the takeaway place and got dinner where we found out where the kids in the area hung out till the street lights came on. We then went back to the hostel. There was a lil fire outside and Kev decided to tell Ghost stories and I left so that I could sleep at night. I went in and enjoyed the rest of the evening watching movies. Then when I went to bed I was having nightmares and couldnt sleep so when I saw another girl get out of bed and said she couldnt sleep we went downstairs to watch a movie.
Therefore the start of Day 3, Day 3 we went to to see some more castles (they have alot) stopped to see a beautiful mountain range. The third hostel we went to was Themed Star Wars and named SkyeWalker Hostel. With pictures of Luke, Darth Vader and one of the clones. That night we listened to Kev sing a few folk songs and he taught us 2 dances. One of which only one girl actually picked up!! This night we made up a drinking game where we have to only talk by saying "Aye" and if you broke it you have to drink. This game carried on for the rest of the trip to the point where up till today people are sending "AYE"s on facebook.
Day 4 we went to see some more mountain ranges and went to the coast. Plus some other castles. Then made our way back to Edinburgh. This day I had my full bottle of Baileys which we had in the morning in our coffee's (me and San Diego) and it was done by the time we reached to the next bar that night. We went around the city on our own and everything.
The final day we had the option to walk around or walk up to Arthur's Seat and I walked around but I saw some of the pics of the walk and it was cool. We bought some more souveniers and stuff and then went to the PUB (it was around 11:30am) and we had lunch and that is when I had my first AfterShock shot. Then washed down the lunch with 3 glasses of beer. Which wasnt THAT smart when you have a 4-5 hr drive ahead. But luckily there were many stops.
Now after all of this fun and excitement how could I not get DEPRESSED!!! I miss the people, I miss the atmosphere, I miss the Country. I have not wanted to leave my room for anything since I have gotten back. But thank God I have gotten Contact numbers so I will chill with some of the people before I go back to Antigua.
Man, those days I will never forget. There is only one time that I have ever been in such a hectic and fun experience that I was sad to end it and that time I had my family and friends to go back to but here I am all alone. GREAT!! Well Happy Easter to all.

HUMANITY
Dear Readers,
I shall be talking about 2 things today, maybe 3 if i am haunted enough. I went to a play last night and was grateful I went. I am also looking through some youtube videos, and I shall not try to describe what they are about but they are good understandings about HUMANITY.
The play I went to walk was When We Are Married. It made me think about marriage in a different light. There are 3 couples who were married on the same day, in the same church, by the same minister and they are celebrating their 25th anniversary. Marie and Joe are married, Herbert and Clara are married and Albert and Annie are married. Marie and Joe are a happy couple and work alongside each other very well and have niece who they invited over for the celebration. Clara is a dominant wife and controls Herbert from what he says to what he does. Albert is a commissioner and is very domineering and treats Annie in the same way.
They found out that they might not be married after all because the minister who had married them was not an authorized minister as yet. Then information came that one of the men used to go to another city and while being drunk would tell a lady that if he wasnt married that he would be with her. That man happened to have been Joe and Marie was wondering if he really loved her. Thus being hesitant to remarry. When finding out about this misfortune Herbert started to laugh because that proved that he didnt have to take the abuse from his wife anymore and was thinking twice about remarrying Clara. When Annie found out she was laughing as well because that meant she could go and do what she wanted and not be tied down to anyone.
During all the back and forth banter, Clara had slapped Herbert and he said that he had sworn never to raise his hand at a women,...... unless she has driven him to do it and he slapped her. He then told her that he was tired of her shouting and everything and it would be best that she would sit down and shut up. She began talking and he shouted telling her to SIT DOWN and SHUT UP!!! she then sat and didnt bother to talk. Then a short while after Alfred and Annie were talking and she told him that she isnt sure that she wants to get married to him because he was stingy and boring & dull. He found that offensive and during the rest of the play he asked different persons if he was stingy and dull. Marie then asked Joe in front of the other 2 couples if he loved her and he said yes and she was satisfied with that.
This play had driven me to ask my own mother "If it happened that you and dad weren't officially married would you remarry him at the snap of a finger or would you think twice about it?" And as soon as she read it she had put at the snap of a finger. That had melted my heart in so many ways. So that proves that love is very deep and it should not be messed with.
This Video is Stayceyann Chin and she brings out some good points about what people expect. Where it can either be one or another while there is soo many middle grounds that it could be.
This Video is about how humanity does things out of fear, greed, or any other feeling that would coerce you to do something that could be good or evil. Enjoy

Enjoy

Hour in the City
Dear Readers,
I found out today something about myself, some people might not like it but it is the honest to God truth. I am PATHETIC. I almost wanted to cry today because of what I did. Maybe because of the day I decided to do it. Maybe because it is the beginning of the Easter Vacation. But I felt so retarded and just wanted to sink into the ground.
You probably wondering if i fell on my face in the middle of the road or something embarrassing like that. But no, It is worst, I almost had an anxiety attack even. I went into the City Centre of Leeds, ... by myself. I am thinking to myself, yes I can do this, I was born alone so I can be alone and walk around the City Centre by myself. OMG What a stupid mothersucking idea. I had an aim when i went so that is the main reason I even bothered to go.
Lets start from the beginning, I went out and was like "if the bus is going to take more than 15 mins to come then I will walk". So I looked at the schedule and the bus was coming in 5 mins. So I waited and I caught the bus. I should have noticed something when the bottom decker was full. So I went upstairs and saw 2 seats empty. So I sat near the window. Then when we were coming up to one of the many bus stops I noticed 3 Muslim ladies jogging (not running or walking) to the bus stop. So they reached on the bus and came upstairs and one of them decided to sit next to me. I didnt mind because I would sometimes sit next to people when the bus fullish. But the thing that urked me was that her arm was touching my arm and her thigh was touching my thigh. That did not need to happen.
Moving along.. so I got off the bus and was sooooo disoriented. I never took the bus all the way down there, and I never walked there. So I didnt know where I was. So I walked a bit looking for landmarks that would help me know where I was. Then I saw the theatre and found my way to the Leeds City Market (an indoor market) and walked the aisles feeling like a freak of nature.then I found what I was looking for A BAG. Not just any bag but one of them bags that can go around your body and land on ur hip. So I was in there like 15-20 mins before finding a store that sold the ones I was looking for. So I bought 1 and put all my junk in there. Then started to walk, planning to just take in the stores and the landscape and everything. But as soon as I got out of the Market I was bombarded with people. SO... It is a Saturday, and the Saturday before a 2 week Easter Break for most students (if not all). So I am looking around and all I see is groups of people, ranging from the 2 people walking togethr talking to the groups of 6-7 people all just taking the piss (no not pissing on the street, but just acting the fool). So I walked over by one of the malls, Victoria Quarter, with all the name brand stores, thinking to myself in there might be less densely populated. BOY WAS I WRONG. I made my way out the other entrance and decided to just catch the bus back to my dorm.
I felt so retarded. I was all alone, didnt know where I was going, and everyone and their momma, sista, brotha and cant forget granparents were there. I was told to get out of my room and just go and have fun outside. My response to that is if one of you people reading comes to keep me company I will go out and have fun. To make matters worst I bought some manderine lookin shit in the market and they SOUR A BITCH!!! but i am sick so i will continue eating them.
In conclusion, I am never going out to the city by myself unless it is going to class or to do a one time errand.

Parenting and Managing a Business
Dear Readers,
I was in class today and my professor was comparing his life to managing a business. I noticed that I have both techniques that we are being taught Classical Management and Entrepreneurial Leadership.
Classical Management is when you are given rules and policies to work by and if you dont do them you get punished and if you do them you get rewarded.
Entrepreneurial Leadership is when you are inspired to do the work and take pride in doing your work.
While Kevan (my professor) was telling us about his relationship with his daughter (the main woman in his life, then his wife) I was thinking about my relationship with my parents. Then noticed why I have inherited both techniques. My father is a Classical Manager and my mother is a Entrepreneurial Leader. Both of these techniques work and because there is both in the family, each technique balances out each other.
My father would punish is if we got out of line and had a firm grip on us up till our older years. The punishments we a mixture of physical and verbal but they got the point out in the end. I approve of this method when the child is really disruptive and disorderly. But all the time could mentally and emotionally (which i think is still mentally) destroy the child in the long run. He also operates his business in the same manner, as a Classical Manager. So his staff is more afraid of him than being able to work along with him. This causes a high labour turnover.
My mother would inspire us to do what she wants. An example of this is whenever we asked for something like a toy on tv, her response was always "You don't want me too?" As a child you dont know how to respond to that and either drop it or keep on pondering for an answer. Then she would praise you in all kind of ways that makes you feel good about yourself. When you think about doing something bad you would then think about hurting her feelings. So you stay out of trouble. She operates her business in the same manner, as an Entrepreneurial Leader. Gets the work done, the staff feel at ease, and each staff member feels it is their responsibility to do thier best in the workplace. Some staff however take advantage of this and would steal or take time out of business time to do their own thing.
However, if the parent does only one technique then the child would respond to that parent like that. I have more fear of being punished by my dad and feel more alienated from him. While with my mom I am more open to her and can talk to her about almost anything (yes almost, the rest I tell my sister). On the other hand, my dad can just say jump and I would jump. While with my mom she would say jump and I would say right after I do this. My mother has noticed this as well and has in a few occasions turned to Classical Management to Deal with me (hell I deserved it).
If the manager does only one technique then they would react to that manager like that. Some staff members are afraid of being fired or a tongue lashing from my father and would do the work but not to the best of their ability. While with my mom her staff would do the work even when she goes shopping or out to do other business. On the other hand, my father has a tight reign over his business and knows what is happening at all time. While my mother is having problems with staff going up the road to do thier own things that should be done on their half-day or lunch break.
So, I think, as a Parent you should try and adapt both techniques to ensure that your children not only respect you but feel comfortable to talk to you about anything. As a business manager, you should also try and adapt both techniques to get the best quality from your staff and have control over your business. Take a look at your life and see what kind of parent and manager you would be, if you notice you are more of one technique you should practice some of the other technique to become more efficient!

Metro
Dear Reader
You are probably thinking omg this bitch aint got shit to do 3 blogs in one night. But I just had to do them so :P. However, unless you are really interested and dont have anything else to do continue reading because this one is gonna be long.
So on the bus they have newspapers called Metro, which are FREEEE!!!!!! I picked up one that was left by someone who was on the bus earlier. So I looked on the front page and saw President Obama and First Lady Michelle holding hands. So I was like awwwww, that is sooo cute. So I decided to continue and see what was inside and on the second page I saw a movie that looked interesting "The Boat That Rocked." So when I see it I will give my review on it.
On page 3, I was kinda shocked because it was a bunch of pictures of Unique stuff I shall go from the least interesting to like the coolest.
1. Amphibian with a false leg - This is a friggin frog that got a friggin false leg. WTF in the old days that mothersucker would have either lived its life with 3 legs or just died. wtf it need a false leg for. GOSH
2. Baa Clan - This mothersucker painting his sheep in different designs cause he has nothing better to do. So now these friggin sheep are a tourist attraction. DAMN SHEEP ALL OVER THE PLACE.
3. The Invisible Vehicle- Now this dude was tired of the speed camera always catching him in the act. So he put a special film that blurs the flsh from cameras making it "INVISIBLE" in photos. Now this dude is smart, real smart.
4. (Now this was the most interesting because I am a Hotel Major) THE HOTELICOPTER - "Sky high prices will be the norm at the world's first flying hotel. The 18 rooms in the 'hotelicopter' feature sound-proofing and whirlpool baths and are reserved for 'adrenaline junkies seeking a truly unique experience'. It was made by expert Alvin Farley, who spent five years converting a Russian 137m (450ft) Mil V-12." Now that is what you call a Unique Selling Point of the Hotel.
Page 7 Three sons' wives 'kept like slaves' - this lady (mother in law) treated her sons' wives as "slaves and dogs" making one of them work day and night on a sewing machine. Now you wondering what White, Black, Spanish, Chinese mothersucking woman gonna allow some bitch make them do shit like that. But with the name like Naseebah Bibi you can tell that it is none of those races there. Now it is one thing if ya man beating you and threatening his wife but the MOTHER IN LAW?? THIS SHIT WAS GOING ON FOR 13 YRS. These 3 gals ( Nagina Akhtar, Tazeem Akhtar and Nisbah Akhtar) came to the uk from Pakistan as part of arranged marriages hoping to live happily with their man and dem. But that friggin 63 y/o woman Bibi denied these gals access to the outside world and made them do "gruelling work". NOW WHAT THE MAN A DO??? These mothersuckers are ignoring their wives. Now that is some shit right there.
Page 9 - "I was Ordered out of pub for being pregnant". All i gotta say is bitch from the way you look I can imagine ur mama drank when she was preggy with you. So they right so that ya pickney nah come out lakka you. Sorry But damn Drinking and Pregnant dont mix.
- Nightmare evictee 'blows up home' - this crazy mothersucker blew up the house because he was being evicted for harassment, intimidation and filming neighbours. They are assuming that this dude was in the house when it blew up. For shame. Crazy 58 y/o man.
Page 11 - Routes of Knowledge- this kid loves buses. yes ... buses. Loves them so much he memorised all the routes for his home ton of Southampton. Now that is LOVE!!!
- 3 YRS JAIL FOR BITING OFF TONGUE - UHHHHH.... ok... this chick bit off 1/3 of her man's tongue during a bday kiss. This bitch was drunk and so was the dude off of 2 bottles of VODKA. It is a shame. but oh well.
Page 12 - TRICKY LANDING FOR 3 WOOLY JUMPERS - as i said with the friggin frog in the past these damn animals woulda dead. chups. But yea these sheep were grazing on some sweet ass grass until they tumbled down the damn cliff ... they all tumbled down a cliff and landed on a ledge. The RSPCA rescuers went and rescued these cold and wet sheep from their sad situation.
Page 14 - (i dunno if you ever heard of Christian the lion but it is soo cute) Back in 1970 a couple of Australians took advantage of some relaxed laws to give the king of the jungle the run of their Chelsea flat. A LION IN UR HOUSE... WOW.
Page 17 - a dude can lift a 56 lb boy in a sling with his beard. now that is special.
Well that is all the stories that caught my eye. There will be updates of other papers. So yea :)

Random thought while on the bus
Dear Readers,
Some people might want to know what goes on in my mind. So I will tell you about something that I thought about while on the bus back home.
I had looked out of my window (was on the upper level of the double decker)and I saw a cute guy, however I couldnt tell if he was white or mixed. Then I started to think I would go out with a white guy, but mostly to play with his hair, which is an erogenous zone of a mans body. Then my chain of thought went to kissing and how I am very unskilled in kissing.
NOW IS THE PART THAT IF YOU HAVE A WEAK HEART OR VISUALIZE STUFF YOU READ OR HEAR YOU SHOULD STOP AND UNDERSTAND THAT I AM A SICK BITCH!!!
Then I remembered some of those confessions in the 17 magazines and one girl who went out on a date with her boyfriend wasnt feeling good and they decided to go home, and they had kissed a goodnight kiss and she puked in his mouth. I know that is MAD NASTY. Then I was thinking what if you ate nuts or fish and your significant other was allergic to nuts or fish. Then you puked in their mouth bringing up the nuts or fish. Would they get an allergic reaction to that?
Then I was like GOD DAMN I think up some shit when I dont have anything to keep my occupied. Yea ... So that is some of the weird shit I does think about when I am by myself with nothing to keep me occupied.

Panic
Dear Readers,
I just got back from a play at the West Yorkshire Playhouse. The name of this play was Panic. That is what I started to feel when I couldnt pick out the plot or the line of the story in the play. I went into the play not knowing wth it was about. I BOUGHT a friggin brochure for 1 GBP (= $4 EC) and that didnt even help me to figure out what the play was about. So I was like "Ok I will just watch and see what it is about." Boy was I wrong for saying that. It first started when the performers started to talk to us. I was like ok maybe they will do that at the beginning. Then they started and I tried linking the pieces of the 75 mins of play together and there was no link.
But this does not mean that the play was boring or retarded (ok a lil retarded). The props was very creative because instead of having a steady background and props they used lights to represent different scenes. And they would use a projector which shone on brown paper (the same paper that paper bags are made out of). I had seen the Brown Theatre in RI do that once and it was very creative.
Something that kept coming up was the Great God Pan, the God of Nature. And there was many sexual innuendos. An example of this was a scene where the man had on horns, a goatee and a makeshift nose and he started to chase the 3 nymphs then he went behind the props and then when he came back out he had a bunch of reeds tied together to represent his "cock".
There was another scene that I was like I had to talk about it was a scene where one of the girls who played a nymph was in a position that made her look like she was lying down in a bed, then she started a story about her having special abilities. She had them since she was in 6th Grade when she was playing Mary in a Play. She then thought how did she get pregnant? Was it just she woke up one day and she was Pregnant (without having sex)? Or was it she had sex with God? She decided to run with the idea that she had sex with God. This boy, who kinda had a very bad stammer (that the boys used to make fun of), was playing Joseph. The Play was a success and after the play he came up to her and started to ask her if he could get a kiss, but because his stammering was so bad because he was nervous he didnt complete what he said before she kissed him. Then after that night his stammering started to recede to the point that it was gone. So she noticed after a while the people she had sex with were healed of whatever problems they had. So she thought that since she had sex with God she got the special ability to heal peoples problems through sex. So her aim was to have sex with as many people as possible to make the world a better place.
But I must admit it was good. I just hope that the other 2 plays aren't as confusing. Now back to the Great God Pan, here is a lil background on home:
Pan (Greek Πάν, genitive Πανός), in Greek religion and mythology, is the companion of the nymphs,[1] god of shepherds and flocks, of mountain wilds, hunting and rustic music. His name originates within the Greek language, from the word paein, meaning "to pasture".[2] He has the hindquarters, legs, and horns of a goat, in the same manner as a faun or satyr. With his homeland in rustic Arcadia, he is recognized as the god of fields, groves, and wooded glens; because of this, Pan is connected to fertility and the season of spring.
In Roman mythology, Pan's counterpart was Faunus, a nature spirit who was the father of Bona Dea (Fauna). In the 18th and 19th centuries, Pan became a significant figure in the romanticist movement of western Europe, and also in the 20th century Neopagan movement.[3]
Erotic aspects
Pan is famous for his sexual powers, and is often depicted with an erect phallus. Diogenes of Sinope, speaking in jest, related a myth of Pan learning masturbation from his father, Hermes, and teaching the habit to shepherds.[12]
He was believed by the Greeks to have plied his charms primarily on maidens and shepherds. Though he failed with Syrinx and Pitys, Pan didn't fail with the Maenads—he had every one of them, in one orgiastic riot or another. To effect this, Pan was sometimes multiplied into a whole tribe of Panes.
Pan's greatest conquest was that of the moon goddess Selene. He accomplished this by wrapping himself in a sheepskin[13] to hide his hairy black goat form, and drew her down from the sky into the forest where he seduced her.
Now this is why you gotta love Greek Mythology. Everyone was horny lil bastards LOL (Tht isnt true but still I just wanted to say it ha). If you want to continue reading up on Pan you could check out this site: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pan_(mythology)
