Dear Readers,
I must say this now before I offend anyone who may be reading this and is fully invested in the Christian religion. I am not Christian. I do not follow any of the doctrines of any Religion however I do believe there is a God (a creator), therefore making me Agnostic. However, I was raised in a Christian Society so this song was quite hard hitting to me because I kind of think the same way.
I would apologize for the lyrics of this song and so on but it is just how I think.
JUDITH - A PERFECT CIRCLE
You're such an inspiration for the ways
That I'll never ever choose to be
Oh, so many ways for me to show you
How your savior has abandoned you
Fuck your God
Your Lord and your Christ
He did this
Took all you had and
Left you this way
Still you pray, never stray, never
Never taste of the fruit
Never thought to question why
It's not like you killed someone
It's not like you drove a hateful spear into his side
Praise the one who left you broken down and paralyzed
He did it all for you
He did it all for you
Oh, so many many ways for me to show you
How your dogma has abandoned you
Pray to your Christ, to your god
Never taste of the fruit
Never stray, never break, never
Choke on a lie
Even though he's the one who
Who did this to you
You never thought to question why
Not like you killed someone
It's not like you drove a spiteful spear into his side
Talk to Jesus Christ as if he knows the reasons why
He did it all for you
He did it all for you
He did it all for you
What I do love about the Video is it is simple and you dont focus on the video too much, instead you can hear the song. Then with the song, first the lyrics hit home with me; second the vocals at the end. I love singing along to songs and when it reached the end and they do that looonnnggg vocalizing (I dont know if that is what that is called) I never was able to do it. So I practiced.
I actually thought I had posted this already but realized I didnt. Maybe I had put it on Facebook but since this is where I want to share I will :)
OXXO
Mayeshah!!!
